Back in 1976 I "Fell In Love" with Japanese culture, martial arts, Giant Robots and the love only grew from there. Washington boy meets Japanese Girl, and in the summer of 1989 I moved to Japan to become an English Teacher! Later that fall I opened a small 28 seat restaurant serving Hiroshima Style Okonomiyaki.....Wait What? There is more

This last spring my wife Petra and I took a trip to Japan. Petra's 1st time there and for me returning after 12 years. I was a bit nervous, thinking I wouldn't remember anything, Petra had a ton of faith in me. All the work I had done in mainly "Japanese Jobs" over 15 years definitely shined through. We met so many people visiting Japan

I was a bit nervous, thinking I wouldn't remember anything, Petra had a ton of faith in me. All the work I had done in mainly "Japanese Jobs" over 15 years definitely shined through. We met so many people visiting Japan on the train, in stations all over really. I was so often able to help these people find a good place to eat, tell them about the places they were going to, and also help translate for them. My wife thought that I should turn this knowledge into something special. that was able to help people traveling to Japan get the most of their time, money and experiences there. All my experience will be at your disposal on our adventures!

For instance Kyoto-Osaka-Kobe, Fukuoka and Hiroshima are the places we should go for traditional and new street food. Are you into cars? Then the Toyota Museum and auto collection in Nagoya is where we need to be. I will be sharing my knowledge of Japan through Blog Posts about individual aspects the people, language, culture, history and customs.
